Really fun line on West Mt. that starts far down and left of a classic v4 called “Could have been Ty’s.” Bomber rock, fun movement and slippery small feet. Also has some power moves in it. :) Matt Fultz and I figured out the moves and then it worked, just slightly different foot beta for the both of us was the key.".

Continua incessante lo sviluppo di nuovi boulders di altissimo livello. Questa volta è Giuliano Cameroni a proporre un nuovo 8C+ con l'apertura di "Poison the Well", nell'area di Brione. Il blocco, che percorre una logica versione diretta di "Pamplemousse", era rimasto un progetto per circa una decina di anni. Sette movimenti, con un crux situato sul 5° e 6° che, secondo Giuliano, può valere da solo un 8C bloc.

"The boulder is a 40 degree overhanging wall. There aren’t many trickeries, only think you need is power and finger strength. There are seven moves, but the crux involves around the 5th and the 6th move, which could be considered 8C itself."

Caroline Sinno riesce a concatenare "Green Fingers Traverse", traverso di 8B aperto a Fontainebleau da Fabien Marchand.

"Yes trop contente, super bloc au milieu et très rési sur la fin. Plus dure que Trafic à mon gout.. Enfin avec ma morphologie en tout cas :)"

Ryohei Kameyama sale il suo terzo 8C: "Kuzan", blocco aperto nel 2017 a Mie da Toshi Takeuchi. Sette movimenti di 8B+ per finire con un dinamico di 8B.

"This hard boulder was established two years ago by Toshi Takeuchi. I tried it for three sessions. I'm so happy and satisfied to feel my progress. I would like to try "Off the wagon low start" and "Sleepwalker". These boulders are so cool!"

Isabelle Faus in grande forma in questo ultimo periodo, dopo le sue recenti salite a Clear Creek Canyon, riesce a risolvere "Memory is Parallax" 8B+, aperto da Dave Graham ad Elkland nel 2012.

"my proudest ascent, beautiful boulder with a great line. Wasn’t really sure if it would actually go down but so psyched !! The day before I felt super shitty... didn’t really have any expectation but to just stay in tune with it... then I found some fresh beta and took it down"

Per lei è il terzo 8B+ dopo "Amandla" (2015) e "The Wheel of Chaos" (2016).

Una buona giornata per Alex Puccio in Clear Creek Canyon con le salite di "Off the books" 8A e "No half way Crooks" 8A+.

Un altro 8B per Isabelle Faus che risolve "The Wheel of Fortune", in Clear Creek Canyon.
Nella stessa area sale anche "No half way Crooks", il suo 35° 8A+.
Tra i blocchi da lei risolti finora troviamo un totale di 17 8B e 2 8B+.

"It took me probably five sessions. I felt really close from the beginning, but there was one move that I couldn't do correctly on the try. Once I did it right I did it."

Prima ripetizione di "Bokassa's Frigde - Assassin Monkey and Man" per Christof Rauch, 10 anni dopo la prima salita ad opera di Toni Lamprecht. Il passaggio, situato nell'area di Kochel, era stato valutato come possibile 8C+. Ora sembra stabilizzarsi su 8C.

Ten years ago Toni realized the first ascent of this amazing fridge. I tried it on and off for over a year. One year ago I injured my left biceps/shoulder on it and took me quite a while to get fully recovered.
Psyched to put it down!"

Dopo la recente salita da parte di Andrea Tallone, Niccolò Ceria è il terzo climber in grado di risolvere di "Re di Pietra", 8B, impegnativo ed alto blocco di Mombracco.

A Varazze riesce nella terza salita di "Just be bad", 8B aperto da Christian Core e ripetuto soltanto da Daniel Woods. Il passaggio percorre la versione integrale con sit-start di "Want you bad".
Oltre a questo ripete anche "Giulia", estetico blocco di 8A con compressioni su svasi,
