Di passaggio a Varazze, Sam Weir realizza due belle salite.
La più impegnativa di queste è "Nem" (video), 8B+ al settore Lilliput.
Al Potala - Antro dei Druidi riesce su "Gioia (stand-start)" (video) 8A+/8B, con l'intento di tornare a provarne la versione integrale: "Gioia" (senza utilizzo del knee-pad).

"Nem8b+ and Gioia stand 8a+/8b FA: by the master @corechristian. Two amazing lines 5∗ in my opinion. Some of the best rock and crimps I have ever climbed on."
"Gunning for gioia (without knee bar) before I get too old! I did the move with the knee bar but have yet to do the crux sans (maybe 8a+ move opposed to 7b+ with knee) but I’m hoping it’s just April conditions. Gioia is an amazing problem so don’t believe the hate that was built up around it if you ever wanted to try."
