Insomniac 8C+ anche per Daniel Woods

Dopo svariati tentativi in condizioni climatiche non ottimali, Daniel Woods riesce ad approfittare del primo clima autunnale per aggiudicarsi la terza salita di "Insomniac", 8C+ del Lincoln Lake (Mt. Evans) aperto da Drew Ruana e finora ripetuto solo da Shawn Raboutou.
Per lui è stata fondamentale una modifica alla sequenza finale, resa leggermente più semplice grazie ad alcuni tallonaggi.
"The full line is broken into two parts. The first part is a powerful crimp isolation section into a jug rest (8B). The second part is power tech climbing on friction slopers, heel hooks, and a friction dependent trav until the final jug (8B). I fell too many times on the last trav cause of wet tips. I knew as soon as it got cold n dry this section would not be an issue."

Attualmente in Svizzera, Daniel chiude anche due boulders iconici di Fionnay: "Foundation's Edge" 8C e "Scarred For Life" 8B+.
